From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians,
unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million
Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981,
100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million educated people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,38 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own Government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:

List of 7 items:
Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent.
Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent.
Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)! In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns! While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed. There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the
ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort, and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it. You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens. Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late! The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson. With guns, we are 'citizens'. Without them, we are 'subjects'. During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED! If you value your freedom, please spread this anti-gun control message to all of your friends.
The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defeat. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental. SWITZERLAND ISSUES EVERY HOUSEHOLD A GUN! SWITZERLAND 'S GOVERNMENT TRAINS EVERY ADULT THEY ISSUE A RIFLE. SWITZERLAND HAS THE LOWEST GUN RELATED CRIME RATE OF ANY CIVILIZED COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!! See attached:

http://stephenhalbrook.com/articles/guns-crime-swiss.html

IT'S A NO BRAINER! I was just a kid. I remember tearing across town on my bike to visit her on the day my big sister dropped the bomb: "There is no Santa Claus," she jeered. "Even dummies know that!"

My Grandma was not the gushy kind, never had been. I fled to her that day because I knew she would be straight with me. I knew Grandma always told the truth, and I knew that the truth always went down a whole lot easier when swallowed with one of her "world-famous" cinnamon buns. I knew they were world-famous, because Grandma said so. It had to be true.

Grandma was home, and the buns were still warm. Between bites, I told her everything. She was ready for me. "No Santa Claus?" she snorted.... "Ridiculous! Don't believe it. That rumor has been going around for years, and it makes me mad, plain mad!! Now, put on your coat, and let's go."

"Go? Go where, Grandma?" I asked. I hadn't even finished my Second World-famous cinnamon bun. "Where" turned out to be Kerby's General Store, the one store in town that had a little bit of just about everything.

As we walked through its doors, Grandma handed me ten dollars. That was a bundle in those days. "Take this money," she said, "and buy something for someone who needs it. I'll wait for you in the car." Then she turned and walked out of Kerby's.

I was only eight years old. I'd often gone shopping with my mother, but never had I shopped for anything all by myself. The store seemed big and crowded, full of people scrambling to finish their Christmas shopping. For a few moments I just stood there, confused, clutching that ten-dollar bill, wondering what to buy, and who on earth to buy it for. I thought of everybody I knew: my family, my friends, my neighbors, the kids at school, the people who went to my church. I was just about thought out, when I suddenly thought of Bobby Decker. He was a kid with bad breath and messy hair, and he sat right behind me in Mrs. Pollock's grade-two class.

Bobby Decker didn't have a coat. I knew that because he never went out to recess during the winter. His mother always wrote a note, telling the teacher that he had a cough, but all we kids knew that Bobby Decker didn't have a cough; he didn't have a good coat. I fingered the ten-dollar bill with growing excitement. I would buy Bobby Decker a coat! I settled on a red corduroy one that had a hood to it. It looked real warm, and he would like that.

"Is this a Christmas present for someone?" the lady behind the counter asked kindly, as I laid my ten dollars down. "Yes, ma'am," I replied shyly. "It's for Bobby." The nice lady smiled at me, as I told her about how Bobby really needed a good winter coat. I didn't get any change, but she put the coat in a bag, smiled again, and wished me a Merry Christmas.

That evening, Grandma helped me wrap the coat (a little tag fell out of the coat, and Grandma tucked it in her Bible) in Christmas paper and ribbons and wrote, "To Bobby, From Santa Claus" on it. Grandma said that Santa always insisted on secrecy. Then she drove me over to Bobby Decker's house, explaining as we went that I was now and forever officially, one of Santa's helpers.

Grandma parked down the street from Bobby's house, and she and I crept noiselessly and hid in the bushes by his front walk. Then Grandma gave me a nudge. "All right, Santa Claus," she whispered, "get going." I took a deep breath, dashed for his front door, threw the present down on his step, pounded his door and flew back to the safety of the bushes and Grandma. Together we waited breathlessly in the darkness for the front door to open. Finally it did, and there stood Bobby.

Fifty years haven't dimmed the thrill of those moments spent shivering, beside my Grandma, in Bobby Decker's bushes. That night, I realized that those awful rumors about Santa Claus were just what Grandma said they were, ridiculous. Santa was alive and well, and we were on his team.

I still have the Bible, with the coat tag tucked inside: $19.95.

May you always have LOVE to share, HEALTH to spare and FRIENDS that care. And may you always believe in the magic of Santa Claus

~Susie

Happy Gobble Gobble

I wanted to wish each and every one of you a very HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I asked, "When do you stop worrying?" The nurse said, "When they get out of the accident stage." My mother just smiled faintly and said nothing.

When I was in my thirties, I sat on a little chair in a class-room and heard how one of my children talked incessantly, disrupted the class, and was headed for a career making license plates. As if to read my mind, a teacher said, "Don't worry, they all go through this stage and then you can sit back, relax and enjoy them." My mother just smiled faintly and said nothing.

When I was in my forties, I spent a lifetime waiting for the phone to ring, the cars to come home, the front door to open. A friend said, "They're trying to find themselves. Don't worry, in a few years, you can stop worrying. They'll be adults." My mother just smiled faintly and said nothing.

By the time I was 50, I was sick & tired of being vulnerable. I was still worrying over my children, but there was a new wrinkle there was nothing I could do about it. My mother just smiled faintly and said nothing. I continued to anguish over their failures, be tormented by their frustrations and absorbed in their disappointments.

My friends said that when my kids got married I could stop worrying and lead my own life. I wanted to believe that, but I was haunted by my mother's warm smile and her occasional, "You look pale. Are you all right? Call me the minute you get home. Are you depressed about something?"

Can it be that parents are sentenced to a lifetime of worry? Is concern for one another handed down like a torch to blaze the trail of human frailties and the fears of the unknown? Is concern a curse or is it a virtue that elevates us to the highest form of life?

One of my children became quite irritable recently, saying to me, "Where were you? I've been calling for 3 days, and no one answered. I was worried." I smiled a warm smile. The torch has been passed.

PASS IT ON TO OTHER PARENTS
(and also to your children. We count our blessings and recommit ourselves to our constitutional republic.

We gird our loins, to borrow a phrase from our Vice President-elect.

We lock and load our ideological ammunition.

We fight.

***

First assignment for fiscal conservatives in Washington:

1) Oppose the Democrats' next stimulus boondoggle.
2) Oppose Obama's windfall profits tax proposal.
3) Oppose new bailouts for states deep in debt.
4) Oppose new foreclosure prevention measures that will simply provide perverse incentives for borrowers to walk away and delay a needed market correction.
5) No more federal loan guarantees for corporations.

Why is the world..............

Why is the world would someone want to vote for a man who has NO pride in his country!!!!

What a way to wake up in the morning!!

So I am sound of sleep. I kind of wake up and here feet walking around. I thought it was Katie. She comes and gets in bed with me and snuggles. Well then she didn't get in bed so I figured I was just hearing things. I went back to sleep. Then I hear hissing from Nubley. For those who don't know she is my cat. I thought maybe Lucky our outside cat snuck inside when Gary left at 6am to go hunting. Well her hissing got really bad and then I hear some more hisses and they were not cats! I crawl to the end of the bed and up pops eyes! OMG!!!!! What the h*e*double hockey sticks is that? Then I get my pillow and try to get it away from attempting to get on the bed. I try to hit it again and it went under Gary's desk. So I fly up and grab my phone it is the first thing I grab because I attempted to turn my light on and I had unplugged it so I could use my heating pad. Push one of my buttons to get light. I shined it over at the desk and what do I see but this!!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_bmjGgKYLLDs/SPDn4TLmLeI/AAAAAAAAASw/B8DXYX73wVo/s320/DSC_0537.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255955719548972514" />
I am screaming of course. I am fumbling for my glasses, wondering if I am seeing right. Put them on yup I am seeing right. I get up, grab Nubley, shut the bathroom door, the closet door, and last but not least, got me and Nubley out of there and closed the bedroom door. After that I am thinking how in the world am I going to get that thing out! I am thinking I have to call someone. I was not going to call Gary he is hunting so I call my dad. Mind you it is 6:30 or 7am. He doesn't get up that early. I say oooooh well and I wake him up. I apologize and tell him that a raccoon tried to get in bed with me. He goes what! I have a raccoon in my bedroom. Then I had another thought, did any others come in with that one? So I go looking around and here comes Katie. So I tell her to go to the kitchen and wait for me. I go with her and see the screen door open. That darned raccoon opened our screen door enough for it to get in! By this point my mom is by my dad and my sis who stayed there last night. My sister goes have you taken pictures I say oooooh I should do that! I am still scared because I still have no clue how I am going to get this thing out of my house! Looked around the house some more to make sure there were no more, and no more thank goodness! I am telling my dad to come over. Then he says take the screens off. I said oooh good idea! I went and got a screwdriver to get the screen off the window. I go to do that and this is what I see.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_bmjGgKYLLDs/SPDyLJQU7bI/AAAAAAAAAS4/cf19ci8pn0E/s320/DSC_0497.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255967038418251186" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_bmjGgKYLLDs/SPDyLAsXlAI/AAAAAAAAATA/rboWf8v425s/s320/DSC_0501.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255967036119946242" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_bmjGgKYLLDs/SPDyLS8MyDI/AAAAAAAAATI/w2d-Ys0t7Wc/s320/DSC_0532.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255967041018185778" />
This raccoon is the fattest one I have ever seen!! I get the screen off of the left side so it can get out without having to get out next to me. But that thing never even moved! It smelled my hand through the screen. It wasn't even scared of me! I took the screen off and the thing is so darn fat it could not climb out the window! I even took a broom and put it under its bottom and it still could not get out. I took the other screen out and it had to get out by standing on the shredder. All in all everything turned out good! The raccoon walked away into the sunrise! Hopefully I will not be seeing the girl again in my bedroom! Here are some more pics of her escape!
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_bmjGgKYLLDs/SPD6ZQ_PVYI/AAAAAAAAATQ/ntqrIwtU-UA/s320/DSC_0506.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255976077105255810" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_bmjGgKYLLDs/SPD6Z0JNDvI/AAAAAAAAATY/gUgjImjOC4o/s320/DSC_0525.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255976086542290674" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_bmjGgKYLLDs/SPD6aPMIhSI/AAAAAAAAATg/jY2ulH7vaDk/s320/DSC_0530.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255976093802333474" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_bmjGgKYLLDs/SPD6aeFsnzI/AAAAAAAAATo/8s8gD55sak8/s320/DSC_0548.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255976097801871154" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_bmjGgKYLLDs/SPD6a-J85WI/AAAAAAAAATw/XhMSLg_7Bgs/s320/DSC_0555.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255976106409649506" />
Oooh I forgot when she got out she walked of to the screen door to see Katie and then off she went. I thought it was too funny!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_bmjGgKYLLDs/SPEDDgYWn8I/AAAAAAAAAT4/GtfPKI9xtKU/s320/DSC_0565.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255985598884650946" />
This was the mess I found when I went into my bedroom. She was a clean raccoon, I have to say! No bathroom breaks for this girl. Thank goodness! But she got into Gary's garbage and pulled his ipod off his desk. Then I went into the bathroom. I put powder on in our bathtub, so there is powder in the tub. I look in the tub and see little raccoon prints in the powder and then little prints on the rugs.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_bmjGgKYLLDs/SPEFkhBNJsI/AAAAAAAAAUA/n4Llo1dS794/s320/DSC_0582.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255988365014935234" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_bmjGgKYLLDs/SPEFktWKpzI/AAAAAAAAAUI/UXcG2jsp25E/s320/DSC_0585.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5255988368324077362" />
So I hope you enjoyed my adventures of me and the raccoon that wanted to snuggle! Nobody's perfect....(except you and me)..ha,
ha Listening to the mainstream media these last few days, I've
learned a few things about the GOP's VP nominee but also had to
learn a few things on my own. To wit:

1. From the media I learned Sarah Palin's husband had a DUI
conviction 22 years ago.
* On my own I learned that Ted Kennedy (hero of the tribute at the
DNC convention) was drunk while driving a car off a bridge in
Chappaquiddick. That same crash killed a young campaign volunteer
with whom he was having an affair. Oh, it has been said that woman
was pregnant with his child.
* Mr. Palin's (who is not running for office) DUI came a mere 4
years after Barack Obama (who is running for president) stopped
using cocaine and marijuana (by his own admission in his autobiography).
Shocking - it's OK for the presidential candidate to use drugs or
the party patriarch to kill someone while driving drunk, yet the
husband of a VP candidate should be demonized for something done 22 years ago.

2. From the media I learned that Sarah Palin's daughter is pregnant.
* On my own I learned that Joe Biden's (the other VP candidate) son
was paid a large amount of money as a consultant to credit card
company MBNA. That same company had business before Senator Joe
Biden concerning regulation of consumer credit practices. After the
company paid a hefty sum to Mr. Biden's son, Biden voted in favor of
legislation to help that company. No kidding !!!!
* That same son, Hunter, is also engaged in a legal investigation
and lawsuit for defrauding a former business partner

Shocking - it's a crime for the republican VP candidate to have a
child who's pregnant, even though that is irrelevant to how she
performs her job.
It is ok, however, for the democrat VP candidate, while a senator,
to vote in favor of a company that paid his son over a quarter of a
million dollars.

3. From the media I learned that Sarah Palin should be considered
'selfish' for agreeing to run for VP knowing about her daughter's
condition. Knowing that her public role would bring extra scrutiny
on the family is selfish, and she should have declined to protect
her child (actually heard this on ABC this weekend).
Strange - the same people who said Sarah is selfish for running for
VP did not seem to care about any impact on Chelsea when Bill
Clinton had his dalliance with Monica Lewinsky. That was a private,
personal matter, you see.

4. From the media I have learned to be 'concerned' that Sarah Palin
probably won't be able to manage her family and do an effective job
of being VP at the same time.
Funny - I never heard anything about Hillary's ability to support
Chelsea while re-doing health care, or any of the other feminist icons
who state a woman can balance work and family. They also never
mention that Barack will have to balance time with his children
while meeting with heads of rogue nations or how Joe Biden's kids
don't even have a mom and will be fighting for his time, maybe even
while he hosts white house coffee fundraisers and sells nights in
the Lincoln bedroom.

5. From the media I have learned that Sarah Palin is 'too
inexperienced' to be a heartbeat-away from the presidency.
* Apparently taking on corruption in your own party and running a
state that's the same size, people-wise, as Delaware (hint hint:
that's where Joe Biden is from) is not really experience.

* However, time spent as a 'community organizer', and with less than
180 days in the senate where you've authored no significant
legislation, is just the type of 'change' we're looking for from the
top of the ticket.
Funny - inexperience at the top of the Democratic ticket is a mantra
for 'change' and 'hope', while strong practical everyday experience
as that of the #2 Republican is cause for concern. ??

6. From the media I learned that Sarah Palin's husband once got a
ticket for fishing without a license.
* I haven't heard much about the fact that, if he were still a
practicing attorney, the VP candidate Joe Biden would be disbarred
for plagiarism, not once but multiple times.
It's ok to break the rules if you're a democrat candidate but not Ok
if you are the spouse of a republican candidate.

7. From the media I learned that Sarah Palin doesn't know much about
Iraq ; in fact they wondered if she even knows where it is.
* Sarah's son volunteered into the US military and is now deployed
in Iraq . I guess that doesn't count.
Sarah has spent more time with troops in Iraq (she visited Iraq last
year as commander of the Alaska National Guard ) than Obama has, even
while running for president. In fact, when Sarah went to Iraq she
spent time with the troops.
When Obama went on his 'foreign policy' tour, he skipped a military
hospital visit to go instead to work out at the Ritz Carlton. The
military welcomed Obama, but would not allow the media crowd to go
along - so, without the press adulation, a visit to the troops would
be a waste of Obama's time !!!!

8. From the media I learned that Sarah Palin is a 'lightweight' and
she better be a 'quick study' to keep up with the facts of this team.
Funny, nobody is talking about how, after Barack Obama had 'visited
57 states' and, according to him, he only had '5 more to go' or
endless other stupid gaffes that expose who he really is.

9. From the media I have learned that (gasp!), Sarah Palin's husband
was once a registered member of a 3rd party that favored states'
rights (man, this is really bad stuff).
* That same media has been silent about the story that when Barack
Obama announced his first senate run, he did so in the home of
William Ayers. Mr. Ayers is an un-repentant terrorist convicted for
bombing the pentagon. This same Mr. Ayers said, about 9/11, that he
and his group did not do enough, to harm our military and he wished
he had done more.
During the same time as that comment, Ayers was serving on a Board
with Barack Obama. All notes and information about their serving
together is now locked up by the corrupt Chicago democrat machine
and any reporters' access to those records are being blocked by the
Obama campaign.

If we've had any doubts about the bias of the media, it's pretty
clear now where they stand. This bias is egregious and corrupt.

Pass this on to some of your friends who are on the fence and who
get all their information from Katie Couric, Brian Williams, Wolf
Blitzer, Tom Brokaw and the gang. The only way to stop such bias is
to spread correct information using the NEW media, the Internet and
other outlets which will make these guys irrelevant.

Makes sense to me........

Dream Big ! Live the Dream !!
The Birk Economy Recovery Plan
I’m against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG..

Instead, I’m in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in
a We Deserve It Dividend.

To make the math simple, let’s assume there are 200,000,000
bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.

Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman
and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..

So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that equals
$425,000.00.

My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a
We Deserve It Dividend.

Of course, it would NOT be tax free.
So let’s assume a tax rate of 30%.

Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes.
That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.

But it means that every adult2018+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket.
A husband and wife has $595,000.00.

What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?
Pay off your mortgage – housing crisis solved.
Repay college loans 3 what a great boost to new grads
Put away money for college – it’ll be there
Save in a bank – create money to loan to entrepreneurs.
Buy a new car – create jobs
Invest in the market – capital drives growth
Pay for your parent’s medical insurance – health care improves
Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean – or el se

Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including the folks
who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company
that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed
Forces.

If we’re going to re-distribute wealth let’s really do it...instead of
trickling out
a puny $1000.00 ( “vote buy” ) economic incentive that is being
proposed by one of our candidates for President.

If we’re going to do an $85 billion bailout, let’s bail out every adult
U S Citizen 18+!

As for AIG – liquidate it.
Sell off its parts.
Let American General go back to being American General.
Sell off the real estate.
Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.

Here’s my rationale. We deserve it and
AIG doesn’t.

Sure it’s a crazy idea that can “never work.”

But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!

How do you spell Economic Boom?

I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion
We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in
Washington DC .

And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because
$25.5 Billion is returned
instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

Ahhh.....I feel so much better getting that off my chest.

PS: Feel free to pass this along to your pals as it’s either good for a
laugh
or a tear or a very sobering thought on how to best use $85 Billion!!

Investments‏ *TOO FUNNY*

If you purchased $1,000 of Delta Air Lines stock one year ago, you
But decided to put it here instead, so maybe I would be more accountable. Since more people see this blog I want people to see and go oooh she is doing really well or oooh no she is not on track. I hope people will actually tell me to! It wont hurt my feelings either I promise! I was doing so well on my weight loss! I lost a total of 33 lbs in less than a year. I was very proud of myself and then the dreaded thing called life happened and I stopped working out and stopped watching what I ate. Well my eating wasn't to bad but it was not the greatest. So I watched the scale inch back up well then my scale needs a new battery so I really do not know how much it inched back up but I think it has been around 10 to 15 lbs. I went down to 183 and now I think I am around 195. I hope to anymore than that. Hee hee

It has been very busy around here and I was making myself to thin with everything! My family and my well being was put on the back burner. I realized that I was a miserable basket case and I needed to start 1. Thinking of myself and 2. Thinking of my girl's and hubby! So I am no longer working at the girl's school. I stepped down as lead teacher and will sub for them as they need me. That right there was very tough. I was teaching anywhere from 9 to 14 2 year olds with Emmy in there too. So when I went home it was like I had a class of 2 year olds 24, 7. So now I have my me time back when Emmy is at parents day out and Katie is in preschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I really want to focus on the 5 things that I really enjoy in life.

1. God
2. My Husband
3. My Girl's
4. ME
5. Photography

The 5th one I am really wanting this as my career. So I have been really trying to work on things in that department!

It has felt like I have had 50lbs taken off of my shoulders since I have had made this decision to get my life back together! So here are few thing that I have done to make sure these things are taken care of.

1. I have made a schedule of my schedule for everyday right down to each minute. It my sound like over kill but it has really helped and has gone brilliantly so far(at least for the last 4 days now 5days)!

2. I set the alarm to get up every morning now not just Tuesdays and Thursdays. So I am now getting up around 6 during the week and Sundays and when I want to or when the girl's get up on Saturdays.

3. I have set aside time to just be with Gary. An hour a day when the girl's are in bed. I know I put my husband on my schedule but I have to for the health or our marriage. It was never bad but it can always be better! I love him so much that I feel bad when I don't spend some kind of time with him alone! A lot of people say well he works at home you should be spending a ton of time with him. Well we didn't! He works in the office/bedroom and so we really didn't spend much time.

4. I go to bed now before 10pm. I was going to bed WAY to late! Midnight was the norm and was grouchy when I woke up!

5. I am now starting today to get up and work out first thing no matter what! At least M-F.

6. Go to church every week no matter what!

7. I have set aside time to be with just the girl's just us. No computers no TV. Also to have patients with them they are not 10 year olds they are 3 1/2 and 2. Have fun with them. Teach them things doesn't matter what it is. It can be as easy as doing the dishes.

8. Reduce my computer time.

9. If I say I will do that later I tell myself no do it now!!

And last number
10. Spend time by myself to reflect on me and to do what ever I wish. Weather it be just get out of the house to enjoy the outdoors, find something to take pictures of, go for a walk. No matter what just doing what I want to do and do it not say I will do it later! See #9

If you have gotten this far in this post GOD bless you this has been a long one!

I hope you can help me by annoying me about if I have worked out today, that is how I will keep my schedule going. Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.

Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!

Rule 2 : The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3 : You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4 : If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5 : Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.

Rule 6: If you mess up,it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

If you agree, pass it on.

If you can read this - Thank a teacher!

If you can read this in English Thank a soldier!!!

Katie got her first hair cut.

We have been talking about doing it for a while now and when she was at school today she said "Mommy I need my hair cut. At least I think it was this one. I took so many of this little guy I am not so sure which one I chose! I deleted the edited ones just a few days ago not thinking I might need them again! Silly me! Hee hee I thought this one would have won first but it didn't even place. OOooh well I guess it is more of a cutsie picture and not so much hunting. I guess I should enter more. :-)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_bmjGgKYLLDs/SKwzoKa5SkI/AAAAAAAAAPk/k82DAUD7rK8/s320/100_2987.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5236617231809989186" />

WOW!!

I know I keep posting things about this man but if he makes it to be OUR president that is all of our faults for not speaking out about him! My faith goes much deeper than his superficial explanation and I love my guns even when I'm not frustrated.

And I am not by myself. I was going to church and shooting guns before Mr. Obama was even born and come from a long line of good people who have been doing it for generations.

To me this latest Obama blunder only helps reveal the depth of condescension the far left wing of the Democrat party has for the folks out here in flyover country.

Mr. Obama's remarks are insulting to a lot of folks. It's kind of like Abraham Lincoln said, 'God must love the common people because He made so many of them'.

His remarks make me think that Obama doesn't know the people of this country very well. I'm sure he knows the jet set and the Hollywood bunch, the limousine liberals and the save the whales, kill the babies crowd, but does he think that the ordinary people don't count? Does he think that they're so stupid that they don't know who he's talking about when
He says these things? Does he think their opinions aren't important? Apparently.

How can a man stand in front of America and tell people what he wants to do for them and have so little respect for a whole segment of the population? In fact, a very large segment. Does that mean that he would only represent the high-minded liberal ideals of the far left and ignore the rest of us?

What kind of Commander and Chief would he make if he doesn't respect the very people who make up the lion's share of the armed forces?

You may say I'm over reacting, but I'm getting sick and tired of him making these elitist statements and saying that he had been taken out of context or some other flimsy excuse.

After his wife's remark about not being proud of this country and his pastor's statements calling America the U.S.K.K.K.A. And his own statement about not wanting his daughter punished with a baby, it makes me wonder what kind of a man Obama really is and what kind of a president he'd make.

Would he be an anti-gun advocate pushing the effort to take the firearms out of innocent citizen's hands? Would he not respect the religious beliefs of America, not taking them into account in his agenda?

I really don't know much about the man and neither does America. He basically came from out of no where and as the facts come out little by by little, they don't make a particularly confident picture.

I have a great fear that if our military gets broken by another President, this time we're not going to have time to fix it again and what that spells for America, I don't even want to contemplate.

Oh well, I guess I'll grab my gun and go to church.

Pray for our troops

What do you think?

God Bless America

Charlie Daniels

Look-alike Meter for Katie

MyHeritage: Family trees Please take time to read it. I am scared to think about what November will bring. But, I know that God is in control and will protect His people.

When electing the next President, "the only decision
you have to make is who you want sitting in that seat in
the White House when - not if - WHEN we get hit again and
millions of American lives are put at risk!"

ENJOY!
This is from: "You ain't gonna like losing"
Author unknown.

President Bush did make a bad mistake in the war on
terrorism.

But the mistake was not his decision to go to
war in Iraq.

Bush's mistake came in his belief that
this country is the same one his father fought for in WWII.

It is not.

Back then, they had just come out of a vicious depression.

The country was steeled by the hardship of that depression,
but they still believed fervently in this country.

They knew that the people had elected their leaders, so it was the
people's duty to back those leaders.

Therefore, when the war broke out the people came together,
rallied behind, and stuck with their leaders, whether they
had voted for them or not or whether the war was going
badly or not.

And war was just as distasteful and the anguish just as
great then as it is today.

Often there were more casualties
in one day in WWII than we have had in the entire Iraq war.

But that did not matter.

The people stuck with the
President because it was their patriotic duty.

Americans
put aside their differences in WWII and worked together to
win that war.

Everyone from every strata of society, from young to old
pitched in.

Small children pulled little wagons around to
gather scrap metal for the war effort.

Grade school
students saved their pennies to buy stamps for war bonds to
help the effort.

Men who were too old or medically 4F lied about their age
or condition trying their best to join the military.

Women doubled their work to keep things going at home.

Harsh rationing of everything from gasoline to soap, to
butter was imposed, yet there was very little complaining.

You never heard prominent people on the radio belittling
the President.

Interestingly enough in those days there
were no fat cat actors and entertainers who ran off to
visit and fawn over dictators of hostile countries and
complain to them about our President.

Instead, they made upbeat films and entertained our troops to help the
troops' morale. And a bunch even enlisted.

And imagine this: Teachers in schools actually started the
day off with a Pledge of Allegiance, and with prayers for
our country and our troops!

Back then, no newspaper would have dared point out certain weak spots in our cities where bombs could be set off to cause the maximum damage.

No newspaper would have dared complain about what we were doing to catch spies.

A newspaper would have been laughed out of existence if it had complained that German or Japanese soldiers were being 'tortured' by being forced to wear women's underwear, or subjected to interrogation by a woman, or being scared by a dog or did not have air conditioning.

There were a lot of things different back then.

We were not subjected to a constant bombardment of pornography,
perversion and promiscuity in movies or on radio.

We did not have legions of crack heads, dope pushers and armed
gangs roaming our streets.

No, President Bush did not make a mistake in his handling
of terrorism.

He made the mistake of believing that we
still had the courage and fortitude of our fathers.

He believed that this was still the country that our fathers
fought so dearly to preserve.

It is not the same country.

It is now a cross between
Sodom and Gomorra and the land of Oz.

We did unite for a
short while after 9/11, but our attitude changed when we
found out that defending our country would require some
sacrifices.

We are in great danger.

The terrorists are fanatic
Muslims.

They believe that it is okay, even their duty, to
kill anyone who will not convert to Islam.

It has been
estimated that about one third or over three hundred
million Muslims are sympathetic to the terrorists cause...
Hitler and Tojo combined did not have nearly that many
potential recruits. So... We either win it - or lose it -
and you ain't gonna like losing.

AMERICA IS NOT AT WAR. The military is at war.

AMERICA IS AT THE MALL, or watching the movie stars.

(Remember Obama said in his book "Audacity of
Hope", 'I will stand with the Muslims should the
political winds shift in an ugly direction'.....what
better place for the Muslins to control our country, than
in the office of the President of USA .

PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR MILITARY, AND ASK OUR GOD TO TAKE
CARE OF THIS ELECTION!! PRAY ABOUT ALL OF THIS!!

Born a Baptist

Born a Baptist

Subject: Born a Baptist
Each Friday night after work, Bubba would fire up his outdoor grill and
cook a venison steak. But all of Bubba's neighbors were Catholic, and
since it was Lent, they were forbidden from eating meat on Friday. The
delicious aroma from the grilled venison steaks was causing such a
problem for the Catholic faithful that they finally talked to their
priest.

The Priest came to visit Bubba and suggested that he become a Catholic.
After several classes and much study, Bubba attended Mass. As the priest
sprinkled holy water over him, he said, "You were born a Baptist, and
raised a Baptist, but now you are a Catholic."

Bubba's neighbors were greatly relieved, until Friday night arrived, and
the wonderful aroma of grilled venison again filled the neighborhood.
The Priest was called by the neighbors and as he rushed into Bubba's
yard clutching a rosary preparing to scold him, he stopped and watched
in amazement.

There stood Bubba, clutching a small bottle of holy water which he
carefully sprinkled over the grilling meat and chanting: "You wuz born a
deer, you wuz raised a deer, but now you is a catfish."

Is This A Great Barnyard or What???

Is This A Great Barnyard or What???

Once upon a time, on a farm in North Carolina, there was a Little Red Republican Hen who scratched about the barnyard until she uncovered quite a few grains of wheat.

She called all of her Democrat neighbors together and said, 'If we plant this wheat, we shall have bread to eat. Who will help me plant it?'

'Not I,' said the Democrat. cow.

'Not I,' said the Democrat. duck.

'Not I,' said the Democrat. pig.

'Not I,' said the Democrat. goose.

'Then I will do it by myself,' said the little red Rep. hen, and so she did. The wheat grew very tall and ripened into golden grain.

'Who will help me reap my wheat?' asked the little red Rep. hen.

'Not I,' said the Democrat.duck.

'Out of my classification,' said the Democrat. pig.

'I'd lose my seniority,' said the Democrat. cow.

'I'd lose my unemployment compensation,' said the Democrat. goose.

'Then I will do it by myself,' said the little red hen, and so she did.

At last it came time to bake the bread.

'Who will help me bake the bread?' asked the little red hen.

'That would be overtime for me,' said the cow.

'I'd lose my welfare benefits,' said the duck.

'I'm a dropout and never learned how,' said the pig.

'If I'm to be the only helper, that's discrimination,' said the goose.

'Then I will do it by myself,' said the little red hen.

She baked five loaves and held them up for all of her neighbors to see. They wanted some and, in fact, demanded a share. But the little red hen said, 'No, I shall eat all five loaves.'

'Excess profits!' cried the cow. (Nancy Pelosi)

'Capitalist leech!' screamed the duck. (Barbara Boxer)

'I demand equal rights!' yelled the goose. (Jesse Jackson)

The pig just grunted in disdain. (Ted Kennedy)

And they all painted 'Unfair!' picket signs and marched around and around the little red hen, shouting obscenities.

Then a government agent came. He said to the little red hen,
'You must not be so greedy.'

'But I earned the bread,' said the little red hen.

'Exactly,' said the agent. 'That is what makes our free enterprise system so wonderful. Anyone in the barnyard can earn as much as he wants. But under our modern government regulations, the productive workers must divide the fruits of their labor with those who are lazy and idle.'

And they all lived happily ever after, including the little red hen, who smiled and clucked, 'I am grateful, for now I truly understand.'

But her neighbors became quite disappointed in her. She never again baked bread because she joined the 'party' and got her bread free. And all the Democrats smiled. 'Fairness' had been established. Individual initiative had died, but nobody noticed; perhaps no one cared...so long as there was free bread that 'the rich' were paying for.

Nancy Pelosi wants to increase the taxes on the 'wealthy' by 40% and tax all the savings (401k, Roth IRA, et.al.) on those of us who were smart enough to save and who worked hard enough that we could. Even worse, she wants to 'GIVE' all the money she takes from those who worked so hard, to the 'illegals and those on welfare in the U.S., so they can have a good life'. Hummmmm, does that sound like the story we just heard or what?

Barack Obama agrees 100% with Nancy Pelosi's large TAX plan and also wants to take more money from those who have worked all their lives, so they can use it to pay for health care for those who have not worked hard or didn't save. He also doesn't want us to become self-sufficient in energy production (Democrats have prevented us from drilling for oil and natural gas on U.S. soil or off U.S. shores for about 25 years), doesn't want us to build refineries, doesn't want us to build nuclear energy plants, and doesn't want windmills in key Dem. areas of the U.S. ,BUT, doesn't have a plan to help our energy problems.

Bill Clinton is getting $12 million for his memoirs.

Hillary got $8 million for hers. That's $20 million for the memories from two people, who for eight years repeatedly testified, under oath, that they couldn't remember anything.

IS THIS A GREAT BARNYARD OR WHAT? A lot has been going on the past few months. I had my 31st birthday on April 1st. WOW 31, time sure flies when you are having fun!! :-) I have a part time job at the girl's parent’s day out program. So when they are there I am too teaching. It is so much fun! I started subbing for them in December and then in January I was hired on as a rotating teacher. Well starting in September I will have my own classroom. I am very excited about it! Then in June I got hired on to be the admin. assistant part time at our church for 4 hours a week. It is nice to have some funny money. It keeps me buying fun stuff to play with! I bought a new camera! A Nikon D80 and am in LOVE!!! It is my third child! I have my first paid for wedding in September and I am nervous and excited at the same time! I took the couples engagement pictures at the end of June and it was so much fun!! I will post a few of my favs after this post! I have also lost 33 lbs so far. It as been very hard but absolutely worth it! The girls are doing wonderful!! They have both been doing swimming lessons. Katie has been since June and she has her moments on how she does. Emily and I have been doing Mommy and me classes and that has been nice! We have been doing them since the beginning of July. Then Katie started gymnastics in June and is doing AWSOME!!!!!!! They are going to move her up to a group that has girls that are almost 4. She is in a 2 and 3 class now. So that has been what has been going on in our busy lives lately! It has been a fun and exciting summer and I am sad that it is almost over! :-( But all good things must come to end!

Snow in March

The girl's and I had a nice time playing in the little bit of snow we got yesterday morning. I am VERY frustrated right now and I do not know what to do!! Katie has been VERY FRUSTRATING and I have no clue how to go about changing things. She hardly ever listens to me. Gets into things over and over again. And just will not leave her sister alone and she has this thing of now going into her room and waking her up. Which was kind of fine two weeks ago but now Emmy is in a big girl bed so here they both come into my room at 630 in the morning. Then Emmy is very grouchy and won't go back to sleep. Then to top it all off I feel she is not getting enough sleep so that is making her grouchy on top of it all. She talks back. She sounds like a 13 year old sometimes. I am sorry I keep rambling. I am just at a very aggravated point right now. I have tried time outs, taking stuff away. I am just at a loss right now!! Any suggestions?? I know a lot of it has to be because she is 3 and it is the age but this bad!!??!!??

Hate being sick!!

I feel like a freight train has run over me. I got the stupid flu!! Yuck!! Because I called it stupid it is going to beat me up some more. ;-) When I got home from work on Thursday I started feeling very achy. Also more tired then I already had been feeling for the last two days. So my friend called me to let me know that she had gotten me some stuff for Emmy and I told her I thought I had it. She said I have a flu test if want to take it. I said please. She works at a Drs Office. Yup came back positive. She had some tamiflu with her so I started it and called my dr and got the rest of the doses I needed to get rid of this mess. I feel bad because I worked with the 2 year olds at work on Tuesday and Thursday. I sure hope no one gets this crud. I do not wish it on my worst enemy. I really hope that Gary and the girl's do not get this mess. Today I still feel very bad!! I just want to sleep and I can barely talk my throat is so sore. So it is not looking good for me tonight when we normally go to my parent’s house. I guess I will send Gary and the girls. I am going back to the couch and hope the girls won’t attack me there. Wendy, our dental hygienist said she was the best three year old that she has had in her chair. She got to do the sucker thing herself. She had a very good time. She was not happy though when the dentist came in so she would not let him look at her. He said hopefully next time he will get to see in her mouth. Gary came and surprised us by coming and then we went and had pizza for lunch. Katie's favorite food!! It was a nice afternoon! Here are some cute pictures.<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_bmjGgKYLLDs/R7-aP4qWihI/AAAAAAAAAK8/MhPkOJxMXCk/s320/Photo_021908_001.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5170020494943357458" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_bmjGgKYLLDs/R7-aQIqWiiI/AAAAAAAAALE/OTrK2Pb3ebU/s320/Photo_021908_003.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5170020499238324770" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_bmjGgKYLLDs/R7-aQYqWijI/AAAAAAAAALM/U4lEfhicAQg/s320/Photo_021908_004.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5170020503533292082" />
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_bmjGgKYLLDs/R7-aQoqWikI/AAAAAAAAALU/lTC_3p0qlfQ/s320/Photo_021908_005.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5170020507828259394" />

We had so much fun!!

Gary and I got back from Vegas on Monday. We met Jen, my best friend from Florida. She had meetings for work there so we thought we would meet up. It was the first time in ten years that we have had a chance to be together without something going on. Like a wedding or a baptism. We went to Hoover dam, the strip, and downtown. How Gary and I got there was an experience in it's self. Hee hee We fly standby and there was absolutely no flights going to Vegas so we found the closest airports to Vegas. This happens to be Burbank CA going and then Ontario, CA on the way back. Once we go to California we drove four to five hours through the Mojave desert to get there and then three to four hours back. The drive was very pretty the mountains are gorgeous!! Here are some pictures of the trip that I took.
<img style="cursor:pointer; Katie turned 3 on Sunday. She is turning into a lovely little girl. She has a mind of her own which is nice sometimes but other times it is a bit frustrating but it is fun to see what she does next!! I am so blessed to be her Mommy!! It has been a great pleasure to be there when she needs me and to help her grow into a strong little person! I remember the day we came home from the hopital as if it were yesterday. Well I told her to go to bed numerous times over a period of a few hours. I heard her finally lay down next to my bed and I thought she went to sleep. Well at around 3am she comes to me and says "Mommy, Emmy is awake." I go what?!?!?! I can see the end of the house from my side of the bed so I look down that way and see Emmy's door wide open with the light on and all of the lights on in the house. I go what is going on Katie WHY did you wake up Emmy and turn on all of the lights in the house?? She said "god was bowling" I said it is not going to bother you if you go to sleep so please go to bed!! We were having a pretty good storm. Put her back to bed and then attempt to get Emmy back to sleep. Haa haa what a joke!! She thought it was play time! Gary comes to that end of the house and he gets her to calm down and go back to sleep. I am so happy that she will do that with him but not me lately! I can get her to lay down the first time but if she wakes up any other time, Gary has to put her to sleep. I guess I am glad that she is really becoming a Daddy's girl but it is hard when you have been the one that she wants and now she doesn't. So I finally get to bed, and go to sleep around 4am until my alarm clock goes off at 630am and I hit the snooze button until 7. So I am sleepy!! On a good note I did go to the gym this morning. I am hoping I keep it up again!

The Nap

This is so cute and so me!!

The Nap
Rhonda Headley, Council Coordinator
Recently one morning, my husband and I found ourselves in the midst of some intriguing circumstances. The girls were away, he didn’t have to be at work for three more hours, we had no pressing demands on our time, and we were home alone. Whatever could we do with ourselves? With a twinkle in our eyes and our hearts skipping a beat, we let out the dog, turned off the phone and ran to the bedroom. The flannel sheets enveloped us, we spooned, and we immediately ... lost consciousness. That’s right. We napped! And I do not mean that as a euphemism for anything else but hard-core sleeping. In fact, two-and-a-half hours later, we awoke stiffened in our spoon positions. We hadn’t moved an inch. My husband had serious sheet prints on his face, and I think I detected a small pool of drool on my pillow. That nap was sheer ecstasy and easily one for the record book!

I have always craved sleep. I am a Queen Napper. In college, I would schedule classes with just enough time between to slip back to the dorm and doze awhile. Later when I was a substitute teacher during the day, I would rush home to take a quick siesta, and then go to my second job as a restaurant server. Even now, on Sundays, I dream about taking luxurious naps while my husband and kids ignore me.

However, I never knew “tired” until I became a parent. The midnight feedings, the worry, the nightmares (theirs and mine), the calls for water and back-scratches (no kidding), and a dog with no bladder control whatsoever have marred my sleep more times than you can imagine. I actually find myself daydreaming about sleep.

So if you call my house during the day and you know I’m not at work, just leave a message. I’m probably taking advantage of the best guilty pleasure (besides chocolate): I’m napping!

Prayer From a Mother's Heart
Dear God, teach my child the value of rest.

Motivation

I have got too get motivated to start working out again. I was doing so well and then the holidays started and then everything went down hill. Well I guess a few other things happened as well. I had very minor surgery and then less than a week later I flipped Gary's truck so I guess there is a little more to the story. I am fine now I just need to get going. I have a yoga and Pilates videos that are great and my treadmill that are calling my name as we speak. I have about 50 lbs to loose before I even think about trying to have another baby. I know pregnancy is going to be hard when I am 50lbs lighter as it would be right now but I think it will be easer if I feel good about myself, and right now that is not happening!!!
